A-1 Building Components is one of the oldest truss manufactures on the Treasure Coast. Operated by one of the original owners with a staff of 200+ employees, A-1 is a recognized leader in the truss industry. A-1 has prospered while other competitors have come and gone! Having served the Southeast United States since 1977, A-1 Building Components is proud of its service to the construction industry, with special attention paid to Florida and the Caribbean. In June of 1998, A-1 acquired GulfStream Lumber's truss division located in Boynton Beach. In September of 1999 we consolidated our manufacturing facility and office division to better serve you - Our Valued Customer.

In December 2002 our most ambitious project came to fruition with the opening of our 100,000 sq ft state-of-the-art manufacturing facility; situated on 19 acres. With this high tech facility, we have the capacity to serve from Miami to Jacksonville and across to Tampa with ease.

A-1 Building Components, partnered with WBC Construction, is now a division of BMHC, a Fortune 1000 company, and one of the largest suppliers of residential building materials and construction services in the United States. BMHC serves the homebuilding industry through two subsidiaries, BMC West and BMC Construction. With locations in the western and southern states, BMC West distributes building materials and manufactures building components to professional builders and contractors. BMC Construction provides construction services to high-volume production homebuilders in key growth markets in western, southern and east coast states.
